The glitter was painted over the red nail polish to make it stand out even more.

Have shaky hands? 

You can use a piece of tape as a guide to paint your glittery tips.

 

Please note: Make sure your nails are completely dry before doing this.
Tape is strong enough to remove the nail polish you've placed it upon. To avoid this messy situation, remember to touch the tape a few times before placing it on the nail. This will make it less sticky and easier to remove.

Edit: Don't wait for the polish to dry completely before removing the tape. Wait about a minute and remove.

I used clear nail polish to stick on the rhinestones.

I also took a toothpick dipped in clear polish to pick them up and place them where needed.
